The J.P. Morgan Premiership Rugby 7s Cup is going from strength to strength and has now entered its second year. It is an Under 14s 7s festival taking place at grassroots clubs and hosted by the 12 Premiership Rugby Clubs. J.P. Morgan Asset Management are proud to continue to support this highly regarded tournament which gives significant experience of the 7s game to youngsters, helping in their rugby development.

The winning team from each 2012 7s festival will be invited to attend the J.P. Morgan Premiership Rugby 7s Series Final in the summer of 2013, a prestigious 7s tournament in which the 12 Premiership Rugby clubs compete.

The 2012 winning 7s Cup teams not only had a chance to attend the 7s Series Final at The Recreation Ground, Bath on 3rd August but also attended an afternoon coaching session led by J.P. Morgan ambassador and World Cup winner Will Greenwood and England 7s coach Ben Ryan

Roger Thompson, COO of J.P. Morgan Asset Management said there is no better way for people to learn the game than by watching 7s. "It was great to have Ben Ryan and Will Greenwood coaching the winning 7s Cup kids before the 7s Series Final. It's a way of getting more children playing rugby because it's an easy game to get involved with and learn to play. Rugby is a complicated game and we always forget that. So to get kids playing, irrelevant to who they are or whether they are affiliated to a club or haven't played before is a good thing and the more people who play the better.” He went on to reinforce the importance of the tournament to the future of Rugby7s, "We are excited to be involved with the 7s Cup and hope to see some future Olympic 7s players emerging."

Wayne Morris, Head of Community at Premiership Rugby, said "The J.P. Morgan Premiership Rugby 7s Cup is a fantastic opportunity for youngsters to gain valuable experience of the 7s game and have fun."
